Youth Education
Kids' Sun. Sch (Age 3-Grade 5)
Messiah offers Sunday School for ages three years through fifth grade. Our current curriculum is called "Dig-In" – and our kids are digging in to learn about The Heart of God. You will get to sing, share stories & crafts, and have a little snack. See you on Sundays!! (Kids Gr. 1-5 at 10 AM; Kids Pre-K and K at 10:15 AM).
Come “grapple” with us as we dive into the Bible to get answers to your biggest questions about God, others, faith, the Bible and your own life. Face tough questions such as “What makes Jesus so cool?” and “Why are Christians so fake?” Come for hang time, games, video clips, small and large group discussions and a prayer and dare for the week. Then, continue grappling online throughout the week at Messiah’s private and secure site at www.mygrapple.com. Grapple meets Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the Youth Room. A breakfast snack is served.
Confirmation
Confirmation begins in the fall of a student's sixth grade year. Middle school students enjoy three years of Wednesday night fellowship and study. Wednesday events include Theme Events with a Biblical teaching and small group discussion, Fellowship and Servant events. Confirmation culminates with a mentor program and Faith in Life learning and interactive sessions before students affirm their faith on Reformation Sunday of their tenth grade year. Confirmation students meet Wednesdays at 7 PM with our Youth Director and Senior Pastor in the Youth Room.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer, we offer a week-long day or evening camp for children age 3 years through 5th grade. Bible lessons, music, crafts, games and so much more round out this week of fun and learning.
Adult Education
Retired Men's Study
The Retired Men's Bible Study meets weekly on Wednesdays at 9 AM in the Messiah Conference Room.
Women’s Circles
Messiah Women’s Ministry (MWM) are members of WELCA (Women of the ELCA). Many commit themselves to studying God’s word from GATHER Magazine by attending monthly Circle meetings. Two circles are currently available: Anna and Rachel. Contact the church office at 701-237-6770 for more information
To address topics of interest to our membership, we have created several small discussion groups. Groups cover a variety of issues and meet at various times throughout the week. Topics have included a Men’s Study, Marriage Enrichment, Christian Beliefs and more. Contact Linda Lou Colguhoun at the church office to learn more.
On Friday mornings at 6:30am, members and guests are invited to join us for an informal session of prayer, fellowship and breakfast. The group meets at The Shack located in North Fargo. All are welcome to attend.
A variety of Bible studies are offered at various times during the summer. Some of our studies meet year round. Call the office at 701-237-6770 for more information on summer classes.
The Christian Education Committee oversees all of the youth and adult educational opportunities at Messiah. These include such activities as Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Youth and Adult Forums, Small Group meetings, Bible studies, our resource library and more. We believe Chritian Education is a life long process.Our purpose is to support and nurture people of God regardless of age or condition of life.

Christian Education

The adults in our congregation enjoy continued growth in the Word through various Bible Studies. Many check out current and classic books and tapes from our church library. The women of Messiah are invited to participate in Book Club, a Women’s Bible Study and Circle meetings, too. The Retired Men meet on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. for Bible Study & fellowship.

Fostering Faith

A growing faith requires constant nurturing — the kind provided by the Christian Education programs at Messiah. From our youngest to our adult membership, our goal is to help each member continually grow intellectually and spiritually in their walk with Christ.

Education Offerings
Sunday Morning Bible Study for Adults	10 AM	Meets Sundays at 10 AM in the Conference Room. You can join us at any time.
Women of the ELCA Circle		For information about the Rachel and Anna Circles, call the Church Office at 701-237-6770. These Circle Bible studies generally meet Sept. through May on the second Tuesday of each month: Rachel Circle at 9:30 AM and Anna Circle at 6:30 PM. They utilize Bible studies from WELCA's Gather Magazine.
Sunday Faith Builders	10 AM	Class begins in the Connection Center and groups will move to their classrooms after opening music. Our last day will be May 15, 2022
Summer Vacation Bible School	Aug. 2022 6-8 PM	August VBS for Kids age 3 -5th grade (for the previous school year) are invited to a wonderful time of games, Bible Stories, snacks, songs, crafts & more. We will meet Sun-Wed from 6-8 PM & end with our picnic!! Be watching for dates, info, & registration!!

Our Sunday School kids sponsor Allison, a Compassion International child in Ecuador. Funds are raised both with Sunday School offerings and your donations. Contact the church office about helping with this Sunday School project.
